4 ways to get enjoyment from vaping
Vaping has gone mainstream. What was once believed to be a passing fad is definitely here to stay with over 3m vapers in the UK. PHE and the NHS are endorsing it as a way to quit smoking. More online and bricks-and-mortar vape shops areopening around the UK and there’s no doubt the e-cigarette industry is worth a lot of money. The BBC estimated that the global vaping market was worth over £17 billion in 2018.
This is great news for confirmed vapers, since increased competition forces manufacturers to invest in continuous product innovation and quality to protect their market share. There are now hundreds of devices to choose from and thousands of e-liquids to enjoy. So how can you take your vaping game to another level?

- Try different flavours
E-liquids come in almost any flavour you can think of – fruits, desserts, menthol, tobacco. New flavours are launching all the time and there’s plenty of opportunities to experiment with different flavours.
- Learn a few fun tricks
YouTube is stuffed with vapers demonstrating their skills such as Vapor Bubble, Tornado, French Inhale and Blowing Os. Indulge your creative side by learning a few cool tricks. You don’t need the best kit on the market, just a good vape mod and a sub-ohm vape tank.
- Adjust your technique
If you’re not getting the hit you want from your e-cigarettes, especially as an ex-smoker then try varying your technique to improve the throat hit. Take longer and deeper drags: the rule of thumb is to make each one last 3 to 6 seconds. Hold the vapour in longer before exhaling. Make sure there’s enough e-liquid in your device – too little and it won’t work properly. Check on the condition of the coil too. A burned-out coil will stop the flavour coming through, plus you should clean it thoroughly when switching between flavours.
- Go to a vaping convention
Yes, they are a thing. And they’re becoming increasingly popular among the vaping community. Most have a mix of trade and consumer days and it’s a great place to mingle with other vaping fans, meet the suppliers and manufacturers, try new gear, e-liquids and bag some free goodies. There’s a few held in the UK every year, even more in and around Europe if you’re feeling adventurous.
